Hi guys, My Grandaughter was awarded high rate mobility in June 2015 for severe epilepsy & was recently reassessed by Maximus... She phoned the DWP after a few weeks to see how things were progressing to be told the DM was waiting on a report from someone... Last week she phoned them again to be told her money was being stopped & it could take up to 8 weeks for a decision to be made & that they couldn't tell her who or what report the DM was waiting for... Surely this is wrong to stop her money when her award is still valid till June 2018 & a decision on her claim has not been made... Any help would be grateful

I would get her to ring again, as you say her current award cannot be stopped unless a new Decision has been made. I'm afraid some of the call centre staff creatively fill in the holes in the information they have when they can't actually answer a question.

Hi Gordon is correct I have rang and spoke to an advisor and been told that my claim had been stopped then rang back within an hour and now been told totally different same as you awaiting more information so I asked them to put me through to a case manager and they updated me very clear they had given me more time whilst awaiting the information they require to make a decision (don’t know where stopping my claim come from? Good Luck
