I have applied and completed the PIP's2 form. I subsiquently had my 1st face to face assessement on10th Jan 2018 by a Health Professional from Capita. Then on 31st Jan 2018, I was requested to contact Capita. Only to find that Capita want me to attend a further assessement! I informed them that I had already been assessed. The reply was, they had insufficient evidence. Is this a common practice? I found the process of the initial telephone call to DWP to trigger th PIP's process overwhelming and stressful, then the ordeal of completing the PIP's2 form even with the help and support of friends, family and your guidelines made me ill, stressed and exhausted. I had no alternative but to request an extension To the date of when the form had to be in for. On the day of the initial assessment, which took place in my home. The Medical Assessor was thorough when asking me questions about my day to day living and how my disability affected me. She covered everything, and put the information on the laptop she bought with her. The assessment took 1.5 hrs for her to complete. I was physically and mentally a total wreck. It doesn't help that I have Fibromyalgia. Along with being so exhausted to a point I couldn't function for several days afterwards. The 2nd assessment will take place on 16th Feb. Will this journey ever end, I ask myself?

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Best guess is that the original report was classed as sub-standard although it's not impossible that the assessor left without producing it, both Assessment Providers have an extraordinary turnover of staff.

Unfortunately, the bottom line is that you claim cannot progress with out the DWP receiving an assessment report.

You might want to consider making a formal complaint, at the least it may get any costs you had from your previous attendance.
