PIP reviews was created by MOGGY
Good evening, In January 2016 I made a claim for PIP, I was refused with nil points for anything. After 10 very stressful months and a tribunal I was granted standard for daily care and mobility which was awarded until January 2019.
Last month I was therefore shocked to receive a letter telling me of my PIP review!
I did have depression at the time of claiming PIP but it was my physical health that I was awarded PIP for so I don't think its anything to do with the people being contacted regarding Mental health issues.
I have a questionnaire to fill in and send back to them informing them of any changes to my illnesses:namely, if things are the same, worse or better.
I can't find any guidance on PIP reviews. My health conditions have not improved. Are claimants being penalised for stating things are the same? After such a long battle to get PIP I feel very nervous as regards filling in the questionnaire, I feel like one wrong answer and I could lose the lot
It seems very unfair to be awarded PIP for a certain time and yet get reviewed a whole year before the award ends!!

I am afraid that nearly all PIP awards are being reassessed a year in advance of the award ending.

You are being reassessed against the same criteria, the PIP Claim guide has a section that covers the AR1 Review form and some of the issues involved in doing so.

If you any questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.

Thank you Gordon for your reply.

I did manage to find the guide regarding PIP reviews and I read it carefully.
I've completed the form and it will be posted tomorrow.
Fingers crossed!!

Kind regards,
Moggy
