Hi all,
I had my PIP assessment today and don't feel it went all well for various reasons. One of my health conditions is that I have bulging discs in my spine and as I was already in a lot of pain I didn't feel confident or comfortable with getting onto the couch for her to examine me and after informing her of this she appeared visibly annoyed and asked me twice why I was refusing. I'm worried this has gone against me, was I wrong not to do it? the couch was on a raised platform area and the couch itself was quite high even though there was small step which she pointed out for me to use.
I also felt the assessment was so rushed my head was spinning and I was trying to get two splints out of a bag that she asked me about but when I finally managed it which was very difficult as I was wearing my third one, she didn't go back to it or even acknowledge that I was offering them to her to look at.
One other thing is that she did not ask me to confirm my personal details, name address, date of birth, national insurance number, shouldn't those things be checked? anyhow it's that dreaded wait for my decision now and as I say it didn't seem to go well at all. Still glad it's over though, the stress and worry has been immense
