ESA suport group to Universal Credit - any advice

A friend of mine at a local charity is supporting numerous tenants that he is having to accompany to the local job centre. He is doing this, as the area that he lives in, is now a full Universal Credit area. He's finding that a lot of his clients that are on ESA are now having to start a whole new claim with the Universal Credit as ESA is phased out and it is a constant learning curve for him and the staff at the centre. As soon as the Universal Credit is made online, the ESA claim is shut down and the clients are then having to wait for the 6 week

Does anybody know of any support group for Universal Credit, as having to attend the jobcentre is causing a lot of his clients unnecessary stress.

All previous evidence that was used to obtain ESA does not now qualify, as the job centre staff say that they now have no access to the old system. Therefore the burden of proof is back on the individual to prove all over again, why they should qualify for the support group,

I am concerned that people are being moved from ESA to UC as this should not be happening unless there are other reasons for them needing to claim UC.

I'm sorry but I am not aware of any support group for UC, perhaps they could try an internet search for "local support groups".
