Recording of an assesment Vs not recording. was created by ThisGovernmentsGoneToFar
Please Benefits & Work and Gordon, I hope you will let me run this as I want to run a test on how fair everyone is treated by having their assessment recorded vs not.

So if anyone can or could contribute to this thread as Im conducting an example from Members of Benefits & Work that ( have or have not ) had a their assesment recorded wether for PIP or ESA.

1. Do you think having an assesment recorded was or is better and you was not lied to on your final outcome and decision by having it recorded.

2. Or do you feel not being recorded is fair. But we know theirs lies with this way.

So do you think having an assesment is better recorded than Not if so, did it give you the trust in the system and was it fairer in your case and did you feel you where treated with respect and happy with the general outcome to your decision from the assesment.

Please keep it brief. Recorded vs non Recorded.

Thanks everyone.

I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.

Hi
2014 My ESA nil points. Report full of misconceptions and bad extrapolations. Also a new diagnosis!! Support Group on appeal.
2017 My ESA Support Group straight away.
2017 Husband's PIP Enhanced Care and Mobility, ongoing awards.
All of the above were recorded.
I do feel that the recording of assessments is informative and should be compulsory.

Hi Battle ESA

I recorded my PIP f2f but covertly for my own use, The assessor lied on the report from what was said on my recording,

In my Mandatory Review (I didn't score enough points for PIP ) I told the DWP I covertly recorded my assessment and pointed out the lies they told BUT this never changed anything and now I have sent my appeal of just this week!

I am not relying on the recording at all at the appeal but If they wanted to hear the recording they can,

Hope this helps

Bumped to attract the above. Thanks Benefits & Work and Gordon for allowing my thread.

There is No need to go into detail, just keep it brief, all I'm asking was a recorded assessment better than a non-recorded assessment.

Thanks.

So Dixie, all of the above were Recorded? Top one very interesting even being recorded they still lied and bent the truth, did your appeal hearing listen to the recording.

Thanks for your input. And I agree with you all assessments should be now always recorded.
I myself now Dixie I have now bought my own triple Neal cd recorder, and I will insist I will use it come what may. it's not cheap to buy but if I have to use it it's worth every penny as I'm one not to be pushed over all I from both parties is just the truth not lies. Well done on your awards btw.

Hiya Steven,

This is not about covertly recording you assessment as we know it's admissable unless it's professionally transcribed, as someone did this and one their case, as you've already stated ideal for your own use.

Recorded assessment o believe would and will cut down on the lies etc.
But thanks Steven for sharing that with us.

I recorded my home PIP f2f with prior agreement with IAS. I am so pleased I did. When I received the assessors report it had many inaccuracies. I could listen to the recording and write down exactly what was said both by the assessor, myself and my husband. I have used this information as part of the evidence for my M.R.
What my husband and I find so odd is that the assessor knew it was recorded and yet still didn’t give an accurate account of what was said!
