ESA wrong group was created by morna
I was put in the ESA wrong group 3 years ago, after 18 years on IB. I was depressed at the time and didn't point out the error. Is there anything I can do about this now? I got the top rate on IB.

Forgive me but what error are your referring to?

I was placed in the work related group, rather than the support group.
Thanks Gordon

Not if it was three years ago.

Providing there are no reasons why your ESA claim would be closed, you should still be eligible for ESA just not entitled to payment, so I you can now show that you meet the criteria for the Support Group then you can ask to be reassessed, your can call the DWP for this

I forgot to mention this.....I had a letter from DHSS Friday advising that I wouldn't be eligible for contributions based ESA because I have had no contributions in the last two years. The only reason for that happening was because I was placed in the wrong group. Could I pay the missing amount of contributions (just the same as would happen if someone wanted to pay contributions to increase the amount of State pension they would be entitled to? )

Thank you.
