My daughter was granted the esa & we were told after 3 months she would be assessed for the support group. Despite asking & being told there was a backlog nothing has happened and it’s been over a year. Should I be asking them again?

There are delays in the ESA assessment process, some members are reporting delays as long as 12 months, so the wait is not unprecedented although still unreasonable, I would recommend that you contact the DWP to confirm whether a Decision has been made or not.
