Is It Possible For a PIP Claim To Be Back-Dated?

All,
I hold an Invalidity Pension from The Republic Of Ireland, and have been resident in England since 10th June 2015. I intend to stay here permanently and am now applying for PIP.

Can anybody advise whether or not my PIP Claim can be back-dated at all?

There are valid grounds as to why I am only applying now.

Many thanks.

I'm afraid PIP does not allow any backdating of the claim.

Be aware it also has a residency test.
