My PIP Claim was created by Michael
Hi first time poster. I joined this site last year during my PIP claim but id had already had my assessment and was googling looking for information on MR and appeals.

I suffer from Agoraphobia, monophobia and panic attacks. I have been housebound for coming up 12 years. I was awarded the lower rate of mobility which was the same rate as my DLA. I went through the claim last year following up with MR and then appeal which led me to nowhere. I found it so stressful and couldn't beileve the amount of paper i received in the post it was over whelming. My assessment was held at my house and felt it went ok, but I then read what was reported about me. For example I was upbeat and held good communication with her, even though it was the morning from hell and had to take diazepam, which i reported in my MR but got me nowhere.
Things are at the worst point they have ever been. I cant be left alone in the house at all without me suffering major anxiety and attacks, even for a minute I feel my heart thumping starting to Panic. I still live with Mother and this has led her having to cut her working week down to 1 single day, because i cant be left on my own. So since my health has gotten worse it has left me no option but to re apply again, as I firmly believe Im entitled to more help than Im receiving. My mum does everything for me, cooks, cleans, banking, buying food, phoning doctors, prescription etc the lot.

Im waiting on my forms arriving and will using the guides to help me fill it out. If theres anything else anyone can recommend to help Id be grateful.

Thanks.

Forgive me but I am a bit confused, your post suggests that you already have an award of PIP (Standard Mobility at the least) but you talk of making a new claim, have you reported a Change and are being reassessed, if not can you explain further :)

Thats correct I do have a PIP award. low mobility. I have reported a change and was told there was forms on the way to me. I was just under the impression it was a new claim?

No it's a reassessment.

You don't mention any issues with the Daily Living activities, where do you expect to score point?

So how many points do you need for an award?
