I would get face to face advice before making any decisions, the CAB have experience in this area, if nothing else put your information into one of the online benefit calculators to see what you might both receive.

Thankyou Gordon.
is is worth me ringing up and asking to speak to a case manager? I was told by a case manager that they cannot make a decision on additional medical evidence as not trained and additional medical evidence goes bk to someone who can ? basically they have totally ignored additional information medical evidence from my dr I didn’t think the could do this my doctor has written I cannot go out alone need to be accompanied to avoid anxiety panic attacks I don’t understand why they havnt awarded me the additional 4 points am I doing something wrong? and what does taking prescription drugs but no specialist input? Mean ? they are prescribed by my gp. my daughter wants me to appeal but I’m scared as I couldn’t attend face to face it would make me very ill sorry for all the questions

You can try pushing for a second MR to be done on the basis that your evidence was missed. If it is primarily medical evidence then they will have to send it to the Assessment Provider for comment as the DWP have no in-house medical experience.

Or, now that the MR has been completed you have the option of going on to appeal.
