Clandestine recording of PIP assessment

I have one. We've had it transcribed by a friend of mine. The person helping me send in Tribunal appeal paperwork thinks that we should include the transcript. I'm not sure this is a good idea. Have to send tomorrow.

Thoughts?

Cheers!

If you are completing the SSCS1 then you don not need to make any decisions about the evidence you wish to supply, this can be done once the appeal is accepted.

Two thoughts for you to consider.

The panel will only make an award of PIP if they are satisfied that you meet the criteria for one, so this should be your primary concern.

Sending a transcript of the assessment is of little value unless you also deal with the issues from it, have you don this?

Thank you Gordon!

Well, essentially, the assessor's report is laughably bad. He told me he didn't have time to discuss my suicidal ideation and self-harm, but he had enough to make the decision already. His report said that I had no history of self-harm or suicidal tendencies.

He wrote down many things wrong - big, big things (such as no psychiatric input, no Community Mental Health Team interaction, discharged from Pain Clinic in early 2017), all of which are wrong. I'm in an NHS Borderline PD Community Team outpatient programme (4-5 years), I see a psychiatrist through them every 3-6 months, and my next appointment at the Pain Clinic is March 22. He says in many of the descriptors that I have no specialist input, thus must be able to (cook, eat, walk, etc.). All of these things were discussed in the assessment and clearly stated in my PIP2 and review form, along with supporting evidence. There are any other errors, big and small. We started 24 minutes late, and he rushed me through the assessment, kept cutting me off and saying "later", or "I have enough on that", and apparently didn't notice my insanely high anxiety (I was rocking back and forth at several points, which I haven't done in ages), and said that I showed no signs of pain (I was on 200mg of tramadol, 9mg diazepam, gabapentin, paracetamol, naproxen, etc. I took pills during the assessment). He clearly didn't bother to look at any of my paperwork, or he would have noticed at least a couple of the major errors. The Case Manager clearly didn't look at any of my paperwork either, and just ticked the same boxes as the HP, or she would have noticed some of the errors (one hopes). So essentially the assessor's report is garbage. I have written that, and am going to ask the tribunal to please reassess me based on my paper evidence, and set the PA4 aside.
