hi i had an assessment some weeks ago, i sent off for a copy of the report which duly arrived this week, the assessor gave me enough points for the living part ,i think, but on the mobility section she has asked me could i plan a journey to which i told her i could having previously asked me if i ever left the house on my own to which i said no. she has put on the assessment i can plan and carry out a journey on my own which is not true.. also because i only have the use of one arm i have not been able to prepare or cook a hot meal , when she asked me if i could do this i told her definatly not, but on the report she has put i can prepare a simple meal with supervision which is not true, i don't know weather to phone them now or wait till the award if any comes through. i have been like this on dla for over 30 years. this doesent seem right. pixie

As you say it is some weeks since the assessment it may be too late to contact the DWP about your concerns over the assessment report, we would expect a Decision in 2-4 weeks from the assessment.

This being the case it may be best if you wait for the Decision,

HAve you explained in your PIP2 why you would have problems with these activities?

I know it's tempting to compare your existing DLA award to what you might receive with PIP but the criteria is very different.

hi Gordon firstly thank you for your reply. i filled in the pip2 and i am nearly positive i would have noted these facts, but i know one hundred percent because my wife was present that i was asked and replied 4 or 5 times through the assessment that my wife or daughter always accompanies me when i go out. yes i can plan a route but the important thing which she omitted is that i am always accompanied because of my history of falling. my memory is not what it was and i stupidly never kept a copy of my pip2 is t possible to ask for them to send me a copy,.the assessor has made quite a few vital omissions,,also 2 untruths, thank you for any grateful help. pixie.

You should be able to request a copy of your PIP by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.
