Hello all,
Can I ask, after a PiP assessment, should we wait for the decision letter to know what the assessment says, or can we request a copy of the assessment sooner ?
What time to wait to request this is reasonable? and is there any comeback from DWP or anyone for asking?

You should be able to request a copy a couple of days after the assessment by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim. Members in Northern Ireland are reporting that the DWP will not release the report until after a Decision has been made.

Hello Gordon and thanks for the reply.
I suppose based on your reply I need to ask, if the dwp can make you wait untill the decision letter is sent in the rest of the uk?
I have searched and found differing answers.
Are there regulations that apply or guidance etc?

I highlighted NI because it is different from the UK mainland where you should have no problem.

Hello, Gordon,
Is it a right legally to receive the hp report before the decision letter?
I just think that the lack of trust in the DWP and there private HP providers means that you need to know where you stand.

You have a legal right to see information that the DWP hold about your providing it would not do you harm to see it, however, there is nothing that says you can see it before a Decision is made, conversely there is nothing saying that you cannot see it before the Decision either, although the DWP (in NI) seem to think that there is.
