Well after an afternoon of ringing around the numbers suggested earlier Advive Plymouth all comes down to CAB /Diac all the same number and after waiting nearly 45 mins for them to pick up and actually speak to someone (my credit expired(I dont have a landline)
The other one given is a drop in and only open for a couple of hrs on a Saturday or Tuesday by appt (left number on answerphone.
Then I get what I believe is a misleading phone call from my Drs surgery ,to drop pip2 form over to them soonest and they will fill in from my notes.this is sometime after I had been speaking to the main practice surgery about aquiring copies of my notes.
So drop off to my surg who will th pass on to main surg when I could go there myself ??
I did say impossible as they hav`nt full knowlage of all my assistance and aids I use daily and of course leave it till last min to call .I did say I think you mean the Dr/gp notes tick the box and sign told No the main form we do this from your notes (she is only a go between not the person who does it) will be ringing tomorrow to clarify but does`nt sound correct.Or have I got it wrong?
I just cant see how they can put the required full details asked by DWP
Scope was the other contact I rang today ,and whilst they dont help fill in pip2 she would ask her boss at end of day and call back tomorrow
I wonder what tommorow has instore for me ,meanwhile will print off drs forms and open a beer.

Mike

Your GP surgery are not going to be able to complete your PIP2 for you, even if they think that they can, it was not unusual for this to be done for DLA but PIP is a very different beast.

If they are willing to provide input then there is a GP Notes document in the PIP area that may be of use.

Many Thanks Gordon
My thoughts exactly
The person that rang me (The Rottweiler) always very abrupt and know it all!
Wouldn’t take no for an answer and as we were travelling at the time and the late hour things were rushed so will find out more tomorrow, hopefully.
I have printed off the Drs Request form with a covering letter for clarity, and will pop it over ,as you say it could be beneficial, or not!
Tomorrow is another day.B) :woohoo:

Just an update .
We sorted out the Drs pip queries it was due to left had not talking to RH.
Got all my medical notes and sorted through them was a nightmare ,but relivent docs are there .
Question: how far should I go back ,as other shows the "journey" if my visits and and various Drs different opinions.Through to what I have been telling and asking for so long to present day treatment and prognosis. Together with all medications given since late 80s.?
Waiting to pick up the Drs note as per your guide (thank you Gordon and others)
After CAB/Disc couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone I contacted Scope .and l lovely young lady there took plenty of time going over the form with me and help filling it out .For which I can't thank her enough.
Re:the going out Q's
I can plan a route when my ailments medication allow .my problems as I see them us when putting the plan into action and actually getting to where I should be going , getting lost and disorientated .
Having someone with me on unknown journeys is a must ,due to the emense distress this I would encounter if not so.
As an aside and not mentioned
I do have a personal orientation aid in the way of a
electonic compass (Etrex Vista) but lousy picking up signals I built up places accurately.
Your thoughts most welcome .
And let me say what a help the forum has been .
I don't always post but often read others post on the same journey ,and the help given is amazingly helpful .long may it last
Regards
Mike

Think about the evidence that will have a positive effect on your claim, so diagnosis letters, letters that talk about that talk about specific problems you have, especially if these relate to the PIP activities, include the latest appointment letters if they are relatively recent.

Things not to include, repeat prescriptions except for the latest one, old appointment letters, pages that don't specifically talk about your problems.

The Going Out activity looks at three things.

Planning a route - this is primarily a cognitive or sensory (e.g. blindness) activity. You are being asked about the problems you would have with working out how to get from one place to another, you do not need to be able to follow the route that you are planning.

Undertaking a Journey - this is do with mental health issues such as agoraphobia and social anxiety and is concerned with you leaving the house to go somewhere, they will be interested in the things that stop you doing this. You need to show that you would suffer "overwhelming psychological distress" to meet the criteria.

Following a route - This activity about the problems you would have navigating a route. So are there problems cognitive, sensory or mental health issues that would prevent you from doing this? This is different from undertaking a journey, in fact if you cannot undertake a journey then you will struggle to score points for following one. So it is the problems you would have with following the route that you must talk about first and then the reasons.

I would not mention the compass, unless it was specifically designed for the disabled then it i sumlikeluy to be considered an aid, but could confuse the situation as to your capabilities.
