I've been moved from a support group to a work-related group on 20 Feb. I have had 2 heart attacks & suffer from severe anxiety issues so cannot cope with stressful situations therefore my daughter Charlotte does all the stressful stuff like accompany me to medicals & meetings & correspondence including this cry for help. We sent off a letter on the 24th Feb asking for a mandatory reconsideration plus a written statement of their reasons plus an authorisation letter for her to act for me in all ESA claims signed by both of us. She's also tried ringing yesterday & today but to no avail, having waited for 38 mins & 29 minutes both times she was cut off. We've sent another letter off today plus another authorisation letter. We are going on holiday on the 8th until the 19th, I can't be safely left on my own any more, and we've tried to inform them of the break by letter & today by phone, but Charlotte was treated very rudely by ESA Stratford & had the phone put down on her. In all we have sent 4 letters, 2 dealing with each issue. We are worried that when we return nothing has been done. We only have until March 20 to appeal. This is so stressful for both of us.Please is there anything else we could be doing. Sorry it's so long.

The DWP, like most organisation have struggled to get staff in today so I'm not surprised that you have had problems contacting them, you should have more success next week, try and ring at 8am if you can.

It's difficult to offer more advice about your request for an MR, we normally expect these to take 5-8 weeks.

You seem to be worried about the time to appeal, don't! The month runs from the date of the MR Decision Notice so it's not even an issue at the moment.

Do you know how you qualified for the SG the last time you were assessed?

What SG Descriptors did you expect to meet?
