Does putting in PIP appeal stop an open MR?

DWP agreed to do a second mandatory reconsideration in the light of further evidence. Meanwhile i have the form to put in for appeal and i could fill that in and send it with the first MR notice, but would that stop the current live MR? I have had conflicting information on this. One person says when they know it is going to appeal they just let it go to that and another says that i should set appeal in process and then withdraw it if the new mandatory reconsideration is favourable. What to do?

It could influence the MR but I think it unlikely, if they feel that you meet the criteria then they will award and if not, then they won't.
