Hi,
My PIP tribunal is on 08th March 2018, I am getting quite worried about it and unsure of what to do.
I am on Standard Care no mobility.

If I only want the tribunal to look at the Mobility part of the claim can I request this on the day.
I remember that the tribunal can remove the standard care benefit if they feel that I should not be receiving it which concerns me even though I was awarded it after my face to face assessment.
Should I risk losing it ???

I have no representative coming with me nor witnesses to give
evidence.
The main basis for the appeal is due to the unfair way that the Face to face assessor claimed that I could walk between 50m & 200m. I did also challenge the rest of the report due to it being untrue.

Please advise me.

You can ask for the panel to only look at one component although it will be up the panel whether they agree to this although I would expect them to respect your wishes.

If your current award is at risk then the Judge must issue you with a warning an adjourn the hearing to allow you to get advice.

A mobility award will only be made by your showing that you meet the criteria for one, dealing with the assessment report may be an important part of your doing this but ultimately you need to show that criteria so I would make sure you understand what you need to meet.

Thanks for the reply Gordon.

Will I need to take all of my paperwork from the start of the appeal process or do I just take the documents that the Tribunal service sent me, ?

If it is not too late then the latter, this should contain all of the information about your claim.

Best of luck

Hi Gordon,
Just to let you know that I won the tribunal and have been awarded Enhanced Rate Mobility for 3 years.
I am now trying to figure out when my dla mobility ended as the PIP award is from May 2017.
I applied for PIP in February 2017 and the I am unsure when my DLA mobility payments stopped , would I still be owed DLA if the payments stopped in February / March 2017 until the start of the PIP award ?

Congratulations on the award, well done.

It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to action a Tribunal result, I would give them a call to make sure thatt they have received the Decision Notice.

Your award will be backdated to the day after your DLA stopped, I'm afraid there is back dating to cover the period from when you made the PIP claim until the DLA stopped.
