PIP mandotary reconsideration was created by lea lea
Hi there looking for some advice,
Sent in for a MR 6 weeks ago when should i call to find out whats going on? I was 1 point off Enhanced and 2 for mobility i sent a really well written appeal stating what i thought was wrong from your guidlines and tons more evidence including about mental health as i have supposed Fibro ontop of a few other things. I was also wondering what the success rate for MR are and whether i should have any hope?

Thanks
Leanne

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Yes I would chase the DWP for an update.

Revision rates at MR are very much determined by the level of detail you provided with your claim, although it sounds counter intuitive, the more you provided the less likely the Decision is to be changed, however, this most certainly does not apply if you go on to appeal.

Hi Gordon, Why is that? Surely if i put in a great statement the further evidence i added would be to support that? Im worried now. I called them anyway and they said it has only just been assigned to a case manager and its being looked into and may take a further 6 plus weeks

I read this?
''You need to say why you think the decision is wrong, and how you think you meet the criteria for a different award. It is extremely helpful if you can provide additional medical evidence at this stage. In our experience you are unlikely to get a decision changed just because you think it should be – the person who makes the decision (the ‘decision maker’) needs a reason to think the original decision was wrong''.

The DWP say that the primary reason for their revising a Decision is the claimant sending in new evidence, if you have followed the guides then it's unlikely that you can do this. That doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with your original claim, see
