DLA to PIP was created by chrisf-1
Hi everyone this is my first post and I would like to know if any advice can be given on my situation, I am now 65 and have been receiving the middle rate of care and the higher rate of mobility for several years now, this was because of my COPD and back problems I am also a type 1 diabetic and have been so for 45 years but have recently lost my hypoglycemic awareness which means I will no longer be able to drive or even go out without someone with me because should I have a hypo episode people would think I was drunk and would probably avoid me rather than help me will this increase my chances of keeping my benefits and are there any examples with a similar situation many thanks Chris

Have a look at the section on "Safely" in our PIP Claim guide.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
