PIP stopped advice please was created by Dmcd16
I went to a review/assessment and the assessor was so rude/wouldnt let me speak etc that I complained. The company she works for are still investigating. I couldn't get a Dr's report as my GP was still writing it (I have it now) Today, I got a letter from the DWP stopping my PIP with a very low point score based on the assessors report. I feel sick. Can anyone advise me what I can do. thanks

Hello Dmcd16,

The first thing you need to do is request mandatory reconsideration. You can send the GP report that you now have in your possession. You have 28 days from the date of the adverse decision to request the mandatory reconsideration. Please be aware that the MR rates are pretty low so please do not be surprised if the decision remains the same. At that point you would need to move onto the Appeal process. The complaint you have made regarding the assessor is a separate issue.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
