PiP Face to Face assessment today was created by AndrewMoult
Well I’m now waiting for a late assessor who was supposed to be here for 10:45am today 13/3/18 and they are now 5 mins late, got everything ready all my meds and aids, the settee is half full, I’m so nervous my breathing is all over the place, just hope everything goes well, I’ve got more evidence to give the assessor, pictures of the wet room, nebuliser and raise lower bed, the wheelchair hoist in the car, and other written medical evidence, the assessor has just phoned me to say she won’t be with me until 11:45 as she has had to go home because of trouble with her laptop, let’s hope it’s working for my assessment. I will let you all know how I get on, thanks for your support.

That was nerve racking, my breathing was all over the place, the assessor was late the second time she came at 12:10pm gave the apology and excuse about the laptop, but was fine now, the assessment was 1hr 10 mins, she was a little cocky but I thought thorough, so now it’s waiting for the sentence which she said should take 4-6 weeks, just hoping I’ve done enough. Thanks for your support. I will let you know the decision when I get it back.

Leave it until the end of the week and you should be able to request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.

Decisions are taking 2-4 weeks at the moment.

That’s great thank you Gordon I will do that, my friends decision took 6 weeks a few weeks ago so it looks like few and more weeks but hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed, at least by getting report I can look to see where gaps if any have been left. Thanks again

I phoned last week re the report and requested that, and I phoned again today to see if had been sent out, as yet it hasn’t even been submitted, this worries me because even though she had a laptop and was typing throughout the assessment, there is only a limited amount of information you can recall from memory, and the longer that gap is the less likely you are to remember who the client was, how the client was on the day, and then for the assessor to write a report into a pen picture of my needs and how conditions affect me day to day. I’m not feeling to good about this at the moment. The CM has to then make a decision based on the assessors report about me with such a long gap from the time of the assessment to writing the report for a fair decision to be made.
