PIP reassessment turned down was created by Sam
Hello all, first time posting on this site, but have been reading the emails and guides for several months now. I am a bit down today; had my reassessment turned down despite the assessor being lovely (the last time was so horrific that they fired the assessor, when it was ATOS - it literally traumatised me); I've scored 0 on everything, for fibromyalgia, M.E., Generalised Anxiety Disorder, C-PTSD, auditory and visual hallucinations. I didn't include any supporting documentation as I didn't have any this time round - I've just been getting on with it and not visiting my doctor much aside from reviewing medication. I haven't ended up in a crisis house or under the CMHT this time round either; I had allllllll that supporting documentation the time before. They awarded it for a year and it's just run out, hence the reassessment. I think I know how to go about sorting the mandatory reconsideration and have found the form they 'don't want you to use' on this website, will use that, alongside the guides - but I think I just feel alone with it all, and looking for people who have had similar experiences to give me a virtual pat on the back and a 'go on, you can do it', haha. Last time this happened, and I appealed via mandatory consideration, then took them to tribunal with written evidence (not in person) and at that point I won. But it was an exhausting process. Yeah, I just feel a bit beaten by it all, really. I really do. I don't have family to turn to, and because of how they make you feel about claiming benefits, I haven't ever told some of my closest mates that I receive PIP - they've won in that sense, because I'm thoroughly ashamed.

I will warn you that revision rates at MR are quite low, but they do happen and the rates at appeal are significantly higher. Have a look at the following

Thanks Gordon - yeah, I know MR doesn't tend to get anywhere - I wasn't expecting it to, I guess it'll go to tribunal again - I'm just exhausted from the whole thing. Thanks for that link, much appreciated. :)
