Hi,

My mother is appealing her ESA decision and in the meantime claiming UC, if she wins will the decision for ESA automatically be transferred to UC and she will receive the higher rate benefit from UC or will she have to reclaim? Worried if she then has to reclaim they will put her through another work based assessment.

Thank you, Jade

If she is claiming UC then I would expect her to stay on UC which will be increased based on the award.

Ok thank you and this does not matter if the original appeal was for ESA the decision will still reflect and take affect with UC?
