How do I understand a medical assessment report I have a section that is categorised eg general whic has a 30 by it then I have Lower limb =31 . Left leg significantly reduced (power) right leg significantly reduced (power) upper Limb = 32 cardiac respiratory vascular = 33 then mental state =37 tired : looks tired .general health unwell .complexion looks pale . The client was found to meet the criteria for limited capability for work and work related activity . The available evidence suggests review in the medium term . This is a abreviation of my report ther are other sections with points in to which all are 30or above but I don’t understand what this means . Pease could you explain this to me. I am awaiting for desision from day

I've no idea what the references to lower limb, etc. mean but the " limited capability for work and work related activity" means that the assessor is recommending that you receive a Support Group award, probably for two years.

I would expect the Decision Maker to follow this advice unless there is something fundamentally wrong with the report.

Thank you for your reply . Do you think the numbers could possibly be points I scored fir that section ? If so how does the point system work ? Do you have a est of how long it will be before I get my decision.

They are definitely not points, they could be the degree of movement and strength that you have in each limb, but that's just a guess.

So for the WRAG you need to score 15 points or more across all of the activities, for the SG you need to meet one or more of the associated Descriptors.

ESA Decisions usually take 2-4 weeks from the date of the assessment.
