PIP Renewal was created by bassettsfarm
Hello Everyone,

I wonder if you can help.i am in receipt of PIP (Daily Living Standard, Mobility Enhanced), and my award runs until August 2019. Being human , I have already started stressing and fretting about it.

I have read some things about the AR1 form, and I wonder if that is what everyone gets now? Or is it still as it was the last time I renewed, with a face to face assessment etc.? My condition has deteriorated since last time, I have been diagnosed with, and treated for, another illness which is also debilitating.

Many thanks

So I would not expect you to receive an AR1 form in August of this year, so you have quite a few months to go. :)

There's a copy of the AR1 in the PIP area and the PIP Claim guide has a section on completing the form. Remember, although the form is different you are being assessed against the same criteria as before.

Hi everyone,

The AR1 form has arrived (to be returned one year before my award ends, to the day!). I’m just wondering, do you suggest writing more information in the boxes provided even if the ‘no xhange’ Box has been ticked?

Many thanks

Just to confirm that you have received the AR1 with the tick boxes, there appears to be a new version of the form that has only appeared last week and which does not have any tick boxes?

The AR1 is intended to be reviewed with your last PIP2 and evidence that was attached. You can add content to the AR1 if you wish but by doing so you are inviting comparison with your previous PIP2.

If you are reporting a change then you definitely need to explain it in detail, this also applies if there are areas that you feel were underscored last time AND you are hoping to score for them this time.

If there is no change then I would think before including any new content.

And so, the wait.......

AR1 completed and returned. Sent so I can track it, and guaranteed next day delivery.

What happens now? I suppose that as ,y current award runs for another whole year, they could get in touch any time within the next 12 months? I wonder if it really is as simple as ticking the boxes, providing relevant evidence and getting a renewal?
