PIP Assesment was created by terry
Capita wants me to go for a Face to Face Assessment. I have never had to go for an Assesment. It has only been done in my own home.Phoned them up,and they looked up my record.Thet said on my papers that they said it has Face to Face and Home Assesment. My wife and full time carer, has now got to go to my GP to ask for a medical note. They have ALWAYS come to my home. This does not seem right to me.Anybody has any views on this.Thank You.Kind Regards.

Is this your first PIP assessment?

If it is then you cannot go by what happened with your DLA the criteria are very different.

No Gordon.I have had a few PIP Assesments. This is down to them sending me a .PIP review form in January. I put that my health as got worse..On Febuary 19th 2018 I got a text from the D.W.P saying that I might need a Face to Face Assessment. Because they could not make a Decision off my P.I.P Review form.Today the Assesment form has arrived. It is from Capita.Thank You.

Obviously the assessor who reviewed your form believed that you could attend at their offices. so yes, you will need your GP to write to Capita explaining, unambiguously, why you cannot make it to their offices

My wife phoned up Capita and explained to them I would like a hmes Assesment. The person on the other end of the phone told her to phone D.W.P. AT Wolverhampton and she spoke to them, they said I was down for a Assesment eather at a Cenre.and also at home.My wife went to my GP this morning, and said give it a few days, and come back Friday. It will cost me €10.So I hope it will get to the D.W.P in time.Thank you so much for your help Gordon. My KIND Regards.

The GP letter needs to go to Capita not the DWP, as they are the ones that will make a decision about a home assessment or not.
