There's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't, one of your earlier posts did suggest that your walking speed including stops was at least twice as slow a healthy person.

Gordon,
Do you take the time you walk from sitting and standing to get balance then walk or from standing . It seems so petty didn't realise that they take seconds into account in mobility. As on my report it's says walked 15meters in 15 second from seating area to assessment room. It took at least 2 minutes to be helped up and get my balance should all this be put in MR. I am going to do my own as I feel what had been written for me wouldn't of helped, and if I don't try I will have to give back mobility car. Thank you for your support and advice to date, I will keep you up dated and am still waiting for doctor s letter.

Could you confirm mobility is from sitting, getting up and balance to stand and walk, then time it takes not just from standing and walking please.

Debs

The legal requirement is that the claimant stand and then move (walk) so if you have issues with standing or require time from standing to gain your balance then this should be included in the total time it takes you to walk a given distance.

Evening Borden
I have sat and typed up letter for MR, put all distances down after converting them to Mts. Approx Mts from where I mainly sit to all areas around house, advised only appointments with support stick and hubby driving door to door any think else in this area.
Also advised misunderstood planning journey, but still maintain due to side effect of meds low concentration and although I can read holding the information does not stay in, I'm hoping this will suffice any advise welcome. It has to be in by the 3rd march and I'm trying to hold on for doctors letter
