Hi there my dreaded esa 50 review form is due may 6th. although my main issues are mental health ptsd agrophobia severe anxiety disorder etc it AFFECTS MY EVERY DAY PHYSICAL HEALTH ENORMOUSLY. everyone who knows me knows i suffer EXTREME FATIGUE so i only go out 1 day a week - 2 the most. when i dont go out i cant dress or wash etc due to exhuastion. QUESTION i saw they have questions on ability to plan journeys - and ability to meet new people/socialise etc . MY PROB IS IT VARIES- some days i can plan a journey tho im always scared and anxious the days before- and SOME DAYS i feel up to meeting new people and can manage providingI its NOT TOO FAR i can REST for 3 DAYS AFTERWARDS and make the effort to go out but most days i CANNOT- have planned to go out to events that involve meeting new people and had to cancel on day because im not well enough - my ptsd and exhaustion prevent me ON THE DAY .i never know for sure until the day if i can go out. QUESTION IS the form has 3 options YES NO VARIES- i was going to put VARIES but read that gets NO POINTS. my exhaustion and anxiety/fear are truely REAL. CAN ANYONE ADVISE? SHOULD I PUT 'NO' on form then explain underneath it varies depending on my health that day? i also suffer IBS and GASTRITIS TUMMY CONDITION that flares up when im over stressed causing pain nausea and diareah so i cant go out. should i include this? just waiting for the form i honestly feel i am PARALYSED WITH WITH FEAR. as i hear its more difficult to prove mental health affecting my physical health even tho my gp knows.. I used to volunteer at tottenham police station v tough front desk when first on esa to keep up my skills from working at victim support for many years but HAD TO GIVE IT UP DUE TO WORSENING HEALTH -i had to keep cancelling shifts as i wasnt well enough to go out so its not that im lazy or making things up- my health has genuinely got worse as am on my own bad things have happened since i first got too sick to work and have no family support. I have an appointment for a new mental health assessment in 2 weeks for my ptsd depression etc as its got worse can that help my claim? . ANY SUGGESTIONS HELP FILLING OUT FORM MUCH APPRECIATED as i fear its more difficult to prove due to mental health. am in a state! THANK YOU

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

First of all have a read of our ESA Claim guides on the following link

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa1

Ticking "it varies" does not mean that you will not score but you will need to explain in detail how you are effected, why and for how often, if you are not able to complete an activity for the majority of the time then you should score.

If you are still uncomfortable with ticking the box then mark them all "see below" and then explain in the comments section, but given you describe e your problems as variable you will have to deal with the issue.
