I got a PIP Tribunal direction asking to make every effort to attend the appeal hearing. However I'm finding the thought going really stressful. Will it go against me if I dont turn up? Can they legally force me to attend? I have since the direction was received, submitted new doctors letters and a submission, all of which backs my case.
You don't have to attend if you do not want to or are unable to do so. Let them know your decision.
Not attending will not count against you in general terms, but these request are usually made because the Judge feels that it will help your appeal if you do, so please give some thought to attending if you can.
