Letter from Capita soon after Pip2 &recordingquery

My Pip2 form was posted on 5th April by next day recorded delivery and arrived at the PDO on 6th. I have received today a letter from Capita saying the DWP have passed my application onto them and a health professional will look at my form and decide if I need a face to face assessment and if not they will write a report to the DWP.
Do you think they will have read my form and info at the DWP before passing it to Capita? as it doesn't seem to have been with DWP long before they did as it would have taken a while to go through their system and was in the sorting office on 6th.
It also says in the letter than if I wish to record the assessment it has to be with a recorder that does 2 copies not 1 and mine only does one at a time unless they are prepared to wait to get a copy done on the laptop there and then or get it sent to them afterwards?

The DWP don't read your form and attachments at this stage of the process, once it has been scanned it is sent directly to the Assessment Provider.

You need permission in advance from the Assessment Provider to make the recording.

It needs to be made to two tapes of CDs simultaneously.

You cannot use a digital recorder such as a mobile phone.

Someone has reported problems is the media is not new, so make sure that the tapes or CDs are still shrink wrapped and opened in the presence of the assessor.

You need to give one of the recordings to the assessor.

Most members have used two relatively cheap cassette recorders, check that they record without problem, some have used external microphones.

I wondered why it had gone to Capita so quickly as it was received at PDO on 6th, the letter from Capita is dated 12th and there was a weekend in between.
I might ring the progress line too just in case they have any further updates, I'm just worried in case any assessment date letter gets lost in the post as I don't use a mobile phone so cant get text messages from them.

I don't have a tape recorder, CD player or a microphone at all and don't know anyone that has 1 let alone 2 of them. I purchased a digital voice recorder for the purpose when I first got my Pip invitation letter and have been recording all telephone calls to the Pip phone lines with that then copying them to the computerl. I had read on some websites that you can record the assessment covertly and that it is not illegal if you don't inform the assessor

You can legally record the assessment covertly but be aware, if you are caught doing so it can lead to the assessment being curtailed and you will be classed as failing to participate, so think carefully before doing this and if you do then make sure that it is indeed secret.
