I see they can use ESA evidence for PIP, would it therefore be a good plan to send ESA report and possibly copy of ESA113 from GP in with my PIP review? Thanks.

Even where there are areas of overlap between PIP and ESA the criteria is still different so you need to explain the relevance of any ESA reports that you include.

Thank you. I think I have found a way of doing the PIP review form, fill it in as asked with the changes and then do a separate printed sheet summarising the criteria met previously. I hope this helps with the renewal. Also a covering letter stating the enclosed information, all numbered so they hopefully can't say they haven't received it.

OK. The ESA report states in support group due to Task completion. So wondering if this would therefore relate to PIP.

Am presently on Enhanced care PIP due to areas: Preparing Food, (support with) Washing / bathing, (prompting) Socialising, (support with) and Therapy / Medications (support with) due to combination of physical and mental health.

OB

So this would translate into a requirement for prompting in PIP terms which would be relevant to a fair number of the PIP activities, however, the need is implied rather explicit because ESA does not look at a claimants ability to Prepare Food, as an example.

So you have a generalised problem that you need to show applies to specific requirements.

Yes, that ties in with my first PIP assessment where I was given 'prompting' for most activities, then in the review they made a mistake, thought a condition had improved and took it all away.

At appeal they focused on only 4 areas and gave me higher scores- 'support' mainly.

So I'm confused about how to go forward- I mean nothing has changed really but feel they may look at the previous report and deny me the points again, so am worried.

I am thinking either- 1. Just add the additional sheet going into detail about the descriptors last given by the appeal and just focus on that to keep it simple.

2. Do the whole things again from scratch emphasising where need prompting- so back to the original. Argh.
