Informing UC of change in circumstance

I have a current PIP application ongoing (my home assessment is next Friday) and knowing how they have a reputation for trying to trip people up I wanted to make sure I had left nothing for them to throw in my face down the line. I am currently receiving the 'work related activities' component of UC and part of the agreement you sign is to inform them of any change in your health condition. I have two new diagnoses since my UC health assessment however the woman I spoke to just now didn't seem to know what the heck to do with the information I was trying to give them. She even said 'well I don't know what you want me to do with this'! She said she would make a note that I'd called but did not take any specifics whatsoever.

My question is should I call back and request them to take full details? I am terrified that anything might make them stop my benefit while they reassess me or something, they messed me about so much at the beginning of my claim I am in rental arrears for the first time in my life and any further nonpayment would mean court proceedings to evict me.

Thank you for any advice.

It is not whether you have a new diagnosis that is important but whether the limitations that result from your conditions have changed, even then the DWP are not usually bothered if the claimant has had a deterioration.

I can't tell you that you do need to contact the DWP is your conditions have worsened or if you have a new diagnosis but there is no value to you unless you would now meet the criteria for Limited Capability for Work Related Activity.

By contacting the DWP there is a good chance that you have initiated a reassessment of your ESA claim, the thing you were trying to avoid.

My limitations have definitely changed but the Universal Credit woman really didn't seem to know what to do with the information, she didn't ask me how my condition had worsened or even what my condition was. I am fairly certain I do meet the criteria for Limited Capability but they just don't seem to even be aware how their own benefit works.

If they reassess my Universal Credit claim I'll have to cross that bridge when I get to it but I'd be surprised based on this woman's 'I don't know what you want me to do with this information' comment! I just wanted to follow the rules in case they decided to throw my not contacting them despite it being in my agreement to do so should my health condition change.
