Mental health mobility uprating timetable. was created by Black Dahlia
Previously in DLA I was awarded Mobility component, standard rate mobility, on transfer to PIP I lost the mobility component as I suffer with Borderline personality disorder and Fibromyalgia and mobility component was automatically denied to Mental health sufferers. I took this to tribunal, back in June 2017 and was awarded a Higher rate living component, I had standard rate living, and still denied a mobility component, despite all the evidence and all because the government was denyinga mental health issue to be irrelevant as far as getting a mobility component award. Now, I understand that this action has been declared illegal and I have wrongly been denied my right to a mobility award. I read that the DWP has to go through over 1.5 million cases in which mental health sufferers would be reassessed and awarded the back payment of the mobility component denied to them. Has anyone on Benefitsandwork got any info on when this process is due to start, and how it will be achieved? Am I likely to be called in for more assessments, or do I have to lodge an appeal again, go to Cit Advice etc etc to get my money back??

I believe the DWP have just published their plan for dealing with the problem although I don't have a link to this.

You don't need to take any action, you won't be assessed as part of this process, however, the DWP have not even decided on the guidance that they need to put in place to make the new Decision, so it is going to be at least a couple of months before they even start the review process.
