MR help please was created by max7months
Hello, when highlighting areas for an MR is it better to photocopy the assessors report i requested and highlight areas.
Or use the decision letter with the DWP report and high light that?
Do they contact the assessor again for more information?
Some parts of my report are fabricated and the exercises are also untrue.
Should i put this in my MR ? I will stick to the facts, but feel a need to mention something. Thanks Butterfly

You should refer to any issues in the Decision Letter or the assessment report that you think are relevant to you scoring points but counter point these by explaining how you meet the criteria for those points.

If there are factual errors in the report then highlight these to the DM.

They may go back to the assessor for further comment but this is only likely if you supply new, compelling medical evidence or show that significant evidence that was originally supplied has been ignored in the production of the report,

Thankyou.
Would you challenge the 4 points i have received?
My partners helps me in and out of the bath- would this come under assistance needed, rather than needs an aid 2 points awarded
Dressing- i got 2 points for needing an aid. Now i did say, i can't put socks on myself and always wear a slip on shoe/boot, as laces/buckles are too difficult
My partner or daughter put my socks on-but if they are not around then i don't wear any!
Now Summer time that's okay. ( If we get warm weather again, that is!)
I don't want to jeopardize the points i have got.
Do i just concentrate on the points, where i have scored 0???
Advice please
Thanks Butterfly

You will struggle to score the extra four points you need based on your post.

You will only score one extra point for needing assistance to get in and out of the batch and problems with dressing the lower body only scores two points which you already have for needing an aid.

You should raise an issue for any activity that you expected to score higher for.

You have two choices going forward, challenge the existing Decision or cut your losses and make a new claim for PIP.

Hello Gordon
Thanks for reply!
I will also be asking for points for
Making a meal
Toilet needs
Taking medication
Which may give me 5 points.( my GP has challenged those 3 areas in a letter for me)
Just wasn’t too sure whether to challenge the other 2
Bathing & dressing (2 points awarded each)
Would someone putting socks on for me or only wearing a slip on shoe as need help with shoes that have laces come under assistance?
Helping in & out of bath- assistance needed?
As I’ve scored needs an aid for both & im not sure how there interpretation of “ assistance needed” would come under my own situation. If that makes sense!
Thanks Butterfly

I think you have missed the point I was making, even if you can show that you need assistance with your socks, the Descriptor for this only score two points, the same as you have scored already for needing an aid, so there is no value to you in making the argument.

You may be able to score the three points for needing assistance with getting in and out of a bath, but you will need to explain the problems you have with doing this without assistance. Remember you need to be able to do this reliably and on the majority of days.
