ESA after 4 weeks in hospital - confusing info

As of today, I've been in hospital for four weeks, and I expect to be in for 6 - 12 months. As I'm in Northern Ireland, I checked the NI Direct website and found the following info about what changes with your benefits with long-term hospitalisation. The DLA was straightforward - I rang them, and because my DLA hadn't been paid in advance of today, there's no complication; they simply won't send any further payments.

The ESA (I'm in the Support Group) was different. According to the NI Direct website:

After four weeks Severe Disability Premium is withdrawn, or reduced.

After 52 weeks premiums and the work-related or support components are withdrawn.

However, when I rang the ESA the member of staff I spoke to said that nothing would change despite it having been four weeks. Maybe the rules have changed in my favour and the site simply hasn't been updated to reflect that (seems possible, things being what they are in NI at the moment), but I don't want to rely on the money. My fear is that they keep paying me money I'm not supposed to have, and then come back to me asking for it when they realise their mistake.

I'd also like to know what the Severe Disability Premium actually is, and whether it applies to me - as I'm in hospital I don't have access to all my old paperwork, and frankly even if I did it would be hard to dig out the info on whether this applies to me or not. If they do continue to pay my ESA at the normal rate, I would like to put aside the amount in question in my savings, since then I would be able to pay it back if they came back to me in future and said that I shouldn't have got the money after all.

Finally, what are the "premiums" referred to in the last line I quoted from the website, and how much are they? It is possible I could be in here for as long as 52 weeks, and if that happens I'm wondering if there's actually anything left of ESA once you withdraw Severe Disability Premium, these other unnamed premiums, and the support component.

So the obvious question is do you actually receive the Severe Disability Premium as part of your ESA? If you do then it will be shown as "money because you are severely disabled" on your annual ESA entitlement letter and is just over £60 per week.

First of all you must be receiving Income Related ESA in part or in whole to receive any Premiums, if you only receive Contribution Based ESA then no Premiums are payable.

The SD Premium is paid to claimants with a Medium Rate care of award of DLA or higher, who live alone or are considered to live alone and for whom nobody receives Carers Allowance.

Being in the SG also entitles you to the Enhanced Disability Premium, about £15 per week.

Thanks, Gordon, that clarifies things. I only get the lower rate care component of DLA, so it sounds like the Severe Disability Premium isn't a factor with me.

I'm on contribution-based ESA, so it sounds as if they won't withdraw anything until/unless I hit 52 weeks in here. Avoiding that is a nice goal to shoot for, then!
