So you need to explain why he us unable to do these things due to his mental health issues, what happens when he tries. Make sure that you understand the PIP Descriptors the requirements for these activities are very specific and it would be easy to fail to provide the right information in order for him to score points.

Jigster01 wrote: Just preparing for my son's appeal. Do I not send in any reports or documents along with the sscs1 form? Do I just do a submission if I so wish? Does that happen later or do the DWP send in all the paperwork that I sent and the tribunal review that? it's a little unclear. I have no further evidence to send.Thank you
If you inend to do a submission then I would not send anything with the SSCS1, if you aren't then send any new evidence with it.
When your appeal is accepted by the Tribunal Service they will notify the DWP, they will then produce their submission which will include all of the documents used in the making of the Decision, you will receive a copy of this.
Wait until you have the DWP submission before you finish your own, all of your papers need to be with teh Tribunal Service no later than 10 days before the hearing if you have opted for an Oral hearing.if you have opted for a Paper hearing then you have one month fron the date of the DWP submission for the TS to receive your papers.

If you have already sent the reports to the DWP as part of your claim then you should not need to send them again, they will be included in the DWP submission.
There's a completed SSCS1 in the MR and Appeals document in the PIP section.
You don't have to go into detail just explain why you are requesting an appeal.

I have also applied for mobility for my son also ,but I said I will think about it over the weekend, and let them know if I will withdraw the appeal.
I knew in my heart I was right to appeal as my son is a shell.
It takes time to put all your papers together and it is a little stressful but we must appeal if we think they have got it wrong
