Went through application stage to face to face interview.

Then MR. Now waiting to hear from them in 6 weeks time.

In the meantime I am sending addition medical reports from my file which unfortunately date

in 2014 as an inpatient. I asked for an extension which I hope they will grant.

Now waiting for MR to say no change o I can go to appeal stage.

I got zero points for mental ill health.

Been told appeal taking around 12 month with the threat tribunals may be watered down.

It can be too much for me as I feel i am relapsing since receiving the decision in March.

Have you requested a copy of the assessment report?

Hi Gorden

Yes I requested a copy of the assessment report which they sent.

On Friday gone I received the MR decision which unsurprisingly did not overturn the

decision.

Next stage is appeal.

Can you give me some suggestions how i go about setting up the appeal as time is

short as the MR letter was dated the 19th April?

Thanks

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

It's the PIP2 but yes it should have been used in conjunction with the AR1.

The bundle that the DWP will send you should include a copy of both forms.
