Just as I was prepping to speak to the GP and get a copy of the hospital report I wake up and the f2f letter is on the mat lol..Will still get the report and take it with me, I could call and challenge the f2f (Which is a fair distance away and not the same centre as it was on my initial PIP award) I really don't understand why they change the locations when they know its further away. They say its random but surely it would be more in touch with the client if it was the closest centre and a previous f2f had been done there..Thats ATOS for you..Review f2f is on Tuesday 29th at the crack of dawn..Cheers for that.. They are aware of the vast amount of meds I take before I can start the day. Really cant be bothered fighting them and just want it over and done with.

As this is the first appointment you have received then you can move it to a date and venue more convenient for you but you will have to attend this second appointment so book it while you are on the phone.

Thanks for the reply Gordon, ive decided to just go with the appointment and get it over and done with. Its not ideal and too be honest im like a spaceman on crack first thing after taking in excess of 16 different tablets. But this could be in my favour as the Judge and jury (ATOS) will see the effects on me.I have the report from the gp on the arthritis so its all go.Unfortunately im unable too get a shoe on my right foot at the moment with all the swelling so its a slipper job..may look odd but im not going to struggle and be in pain. Just one further question, I have a walking stick which I need to get around short distances and I wear wrist splint supports to provide stability to the joints and support for me moving around with the stick but ive seen on other reports that they will use the fact I can lean on a stick with the supports as a sign of being able to put weight on the joints and mobilise. Would it be advisable to not use the stick and rely heavily on my companion. I have told them on the form that I mobilise around the house for short distances with the aid of a stick..Thanks in advance

Just to add Gordon I was medically retired 4 years ago from Local government due to COPD (Moderate/Severe), Severe Asthma, Uncontrollable Hypertension which I attend a centre of excellence for under a Professor every week, ive had 2 strokes due to this problem, I also have osteo Arthrisis in my foot and wrists). I am not fussed about any financial benefit, for me its recognition that I have a disability. ON my initial PIP I wasn't aware of this site until after id applied and was only awarded low mobility. I was grateful for that as it did recognise my disability but since reading the stories on here it became apparent that the reason they didn't review me sooner was that they knew I could of filled the form out more extensively and been awarded a higher rate for both sections. We will see what happens, I am not fazed by any medical or interview and I don't think anyone should be if you have a disability. Its just so sad and frustrating that the government see fit to put members of our society through such a horrendous procedure. It baffles me how a DWP decision maker can base a decision on an individual without even seeing them or speaking to them..Good luck to all, never give up if you believe you are In the right..Thanks for all the advice from Gordon and others I will let you know how it goes..

If you have documented problems with holding things due to problems with your hands or wrists, then using the stick to support you would argue against this, however, if it s just for balance then it may not be an issue.

Thanks Gordon, yes I do have problems, the stick takes the pressure of my foot just for simple tasks, and is used for balance, I will take it with me but rely on my companion, but make them aware of its use. I was awarded points for using aids etc for washing and cooking so they know from previous f2f the issues are there and have reiterated this in the review form..
