Hi I’ve not been called to change over to pip yet . Rang citizens advice and they were saying it’s being done by national insurance numbers now . Is this true .? I’m wondering when they will finish this process

Not as far as I am aware, my NIN is at the end of the alphabet and my partners is in the middle and we were both assessed within months of each other.

Our understanding and I have seen nothing to counter this, is that DLA claimants are being chosen at random.

I assume you are talking about being assessed by your Local Authority for a care package?

I'm afraid this is totally separate from your being invited to claim PIP and you will not be able to delay your PIP claim by more than a few weeks. Your retaining your DLA award until a PIP Decision is made is entirely dependant on your progressing the PIP claim within the required timescales.

Please make use of our PIP Claim guide to help you with the process
