Congratulations on the award, well done.

You can ask for the DM's Statement of Reasons but I would be surprised if it is supplied (it's not created as standard), as you already have the assessment report.

Only you can decide whether to apply for PIP now but be aware that are limited areas of overlap between the two benefits and even where there are the criteria is different, for example; the distance considered for the ESA Moving Around activity is 50m, for PIP it is 20m.

I would review our PIP Claim guide for the criteria you will need to meet and mark yourself quite harshly, before deciding your next action.

On my ESA85 medical report form it say's at the bottom of page 1/9 Resticted Medical can you tell me the meaning of this? I was not asked any Mental Health ?'s but I put my side across,is there parts missing?as I read it I'm in the support group on Severe Impairment with Mobility that suggests improvement is unlikely in the longger term.

From what I can find it means that a full assessment was not carried out, they were able to make a recommendation for the SG based on your mobility issues and therefore did not need to continue.
