If you are on ESA(CB) then pension income or entitlement are likely to be the issues.

If you are only receiving ESA(CB) then the claim is in your name only and any income and savings that you husband has cannot effect your ESA, however, is it a battle that you want to have?
I would say that your husband attending with you is a reasonable adjustment under the Equality Act.
