My husband has just gone through a face to face medical at home for profound deafness and osteoarthritis, got only 4 points and no change with MR and now at appeals stage. Was on lifetime DLA before this. Anyway i am also on lifetime DLA for multiple sclerosis, osteoporosis and Chronic Interstitial Cystitis. My husbands face to face was four months ago (lots of lies told by the assessor), now my forms have arrived and about to send them back. My fear is that the same assessor will also come out to the house for the medical and don't want the same person. We didn't ask for a home visit. Can this happen, and can you ask for the person's name beforehand and refuse the assessor and ask for another one? What should i do? Or can i ask to go to the medical centre for the medical instead?

Wait and see what happens with your claim. You can certainly contact the Assessment Provider and ask for a different assessor to be assigned, your request will carry more weight if your husband made a complaint about the assessor.
