i was taken off support group ESA and now moved to work related ESA ( i think i got that right ) was asked to come into job centre to meet my advisor for first time i got sick note from dr and did my best to explain because of my severe anxiety depression and agoraphobia i am useless in public let alone dealing with the work advisor , but once i showed them the sick note from dr they informed me they are no longer accepting sick notes from dr as proof of not fit for work .
so where does this leave me ??
i cant appeal decision being taken out of support group for ESA as it been almost a year since that decision
so what can i do ?
anyone please help ?

In simple terms a Fit Note declares a patient as Unfit for Work. By definition claimants who have an award of ESA are considered as Unfit for Work so presenting a Fit Note in regard a Work Focussed Interview or Work Related activity will have very limited value and certainly cannot guarantee that the claimant will be excused from either of these.

Hello Gordon
so i guess i have no options in this , i wish i found out sooner here that i could have appealed the first decision to take me out of support group for ESA but it is now at the 12 month stage so going down that route is too late
Even my dr and therapist are seeing my condition getting worse and there is nothing i can do

how long before i have a new medical assessment for ESA?

Sorry, I forgot to add to my previous post. Providing it is less than 13 months since the Decision to place you in the WRAG then you can still challenge the Decision, the first stage to doing this would be to request a Mandatory Reconsideration, any revised Decision will be based on your conditions as they were at the time that the Decision was made.

You also have the option of reporting a Change of Circumstances due to a deteriorated condition.

In either case you need to show that you did/now meet the criteria for the Support Group, can you do this? See the ESA Claim guide for details of the SG requirements.

hello
thanks or the info i am certain i did and still do meet the criteria for the support group ESA and still cannot understand why i was taken out of it i do very much want to appeal that decision and get a copy of the assessment as all the interviewer asked me about was my back and if i had i mri scan done on it nothing about my mental health-issues even though i broke down in tears during it as the anxiety was too much to cope with
i will look into the change of circumstances due to deteriorated condition.
how would i do that ? would that be a case of statements from myself or dr?

All you need to do is write to the DWP office dealing with your claim, notifying them of a deterioration, make sure that you send the letter using a Tracked post so that you have proof of delivery.

Reporting a change will result in a reassessment of your ESA claim, new ESA50 and almost certainly a face to face assessment.

Phone the same office to request a copy of the last assessment report.
