I have been in the ESA Support Group since a positive Tribunal ruling awhile back, and have been the subject of f2f medical reviews twice since - i am also in receipt of PIP having transferred from DLA albeit with a monthly reduction.
I am in the pipeline for double hip replacement & double knee replacement commencing in September, these surgeries have been delayed due to other health issues. I hobble iwith immense pain bent double on crutches, take some 12 types of meds per day & have poor quality of life.
In Feb i received a letter telling me of some minor increase in ESA post April. In March i received a PIP Review Form (are things better or worse ?).
I have just turned 65 a fortnight ago. I now find out that no ESA payment has been made yesterday (as scheduled), nor have i received an information pack re (nor claimed) any State Pension.
Does ESA stop at 65 (my retirement age) ? I would love to be able to go back to work in due course, and don't intend to retire just yet once i have my life back. Can the DWP effectively force me to retire at 65 ?
I have yet to be advised of any change in my PIP, although letters seem to take some 10 days to arrive from date of alleged issue !
Any comments much appreciated. Many thanks. DandyBoy
