I was awarded PIP on appeal, by a tribunal in July 2016, standard rate for the living component and enhanced rate for motability, until March 2019. The DWP decided that it would stop this payment this April, after, they say, my failing to return form 'Making sure your award is right', even though I did return it. Can they do this. I always thought that given that the award was made by a tribunal that they would have to honour it at least until the date set by the tribunal.

Getting the legal bit out of the way first, I'm afraid the DWP are entitled to close a claim if the claimant fails to return a claim form by the required date.
Do you have proof of delivery for your form?
Did you take a copy of the form before sending it?
Did the DWP contact you prior to their making a Decision to close your claim?
Have you request an MR of their Decision?
