Appointee has to be at home assessment for change from dla to pip.
Appointment has arrived and appointee is away for 7 days, so assessment cannot take place . Appointee also has a lot of day's when they could not be available to travel to be present at the home assessment . Appointment is for next fri. App obviously must be changed, and other unavailable dates given to dip, will this go against claimant? As they are available for appointment but it cannot go ahead without the appointee being available to also attend? Bit worried

You can move the appointment once but then the claimant must attend the new one or risk their claim being closed. I would call the day before the current booking (if possible), to cancel and then make a new appointment while on the phone for a mutually agreeable date, if they are not able to offer a date on the phone then make sure that you give then any dates that are not suitable and then confirm these in writing.
