DLA to PIP Switch Advice Needed was created by dyanb
Hi, I could do with some advice please. My son is currently on DLA and received his transfer to PIP letter sometime ago. I completed and sent of so it should have been with them on the 16th March 2018. Has I had heard nothing for sometime I called the PIP inquiry line who gave me the number to Capita as they had not received anything back from them. I called Capita and was told my son did not have to have a F2F as enough evidence was provided and they would be sending information through to PIP. I was told to call back in a few weeks if I hadn't heard anything. As I still haven't heard anything and it is now past 8 weeks (which was given to me as a timescale), I called PIP again (30+ minutes on the phone to be told they still haven't heard back from Capita and she seemed very surprised that the claim was still outstanding). She asked me to call Capita back which I did. I was told its still being looked at as it is a paper based it can take longer and couldn't give me any time scale. Because of all the bad press about the transfers I am going out of my mind. It was hard enough for me to complete the form, but it is on my mind 24/7 and I am not being given an end to this worry. I am not well myself either. Is there anything I can do? As PIP nor Capita are giving any options apart from wait and call back - each time having to spend 30 minutes on hold with that awful music. its driving me insane.

Thanks

I am as surprised as you that the Paper Baser Review has not been completed after all of this time.

The only thing I can suggest is for you to contact your MP to see if they can inspire an assessor to complete the report.

Thank you Gordon,

For some reason my message has only just shown up with your reply. I did contact my MP a few days ago and guess what.... Two days later got a brown envelope. Awarded Enhanced care and mobility on going.

Just have my other sons problem now so 50% of the stress has gone.
