How strict are deadlines?

I'm worried I might have blown by PIP application. I am being transferred from DLA. I did the phone application and got the How Your Disability Affects You form. One of my problems is an inability to focus/concentrate and before I knew it the deadline was on me and I hadn't completed it. I called them and explained and they gave me a 2 week extension. The new deadline was yesterday but I've been unable to fully do it still. I hope to get it off today but even if I do, it will be a couple of days late - do they adhere really strictly to deadlines or do they allow an extra few days to allow for postal delays etc? Thanks!

Thanks, I finally managed to send it today, took me another 4 hours to work on it! Was too late to phone them but will do that tomorrow. It's good to know that additional evidence can be sent later as I was concerned that a supporting letter I hoped to get has not been done yet.

Yes, as Gordon said, call them - in my case they were really nice and understanding and didn't hesitate to give me more time so I'm sure you'll be fine.
