Esa advice due to non attendence of assessment was created by Red
I was sent appointment for my esa review which I had to reschedule as I had a fall and was unable to walk at the time. At my second appointment, I was still unable to weight bare so I called the assessment office to tell them. They wouldnt offer me another appointment but said i would receive a letter asking why i couldnt attend. I am still waiting to hear as to whether they accepted my reasons. Could you please offer me advice as to what to do if they decide to stop my esa.

As you have missed two assessments Maximus will return your file to the DWP and it will be them who will write to for your reasons for not attending.
Do you any medical evidence to support you being unable to attend? Did you attend at your GP surgery or A & E?
If the DWP do not accept your Good Cause then your ESA claim will be closed, you can request a Mandatory Reconsideration of the Decision and if necessary an appeal.
You can make a new claim for ESA immediately but you will not be paid until you have attended and assessment or six months have elapsed, whichever is the sooner.
